MUSIC AND ARTIST EXHIBIT
Winnipeg's HEARING TREES are rolling through town and we decided it would be a great idea to feature a local artist! Sudbury's multi-medium artist Cassi Churchill will be displaying some of her works and will have some pieces available for purchase for those interested. Art sold is unique and one of a kind, original and signed by her

HEARING TREES (Winnipeg Indie/Alt Rock)
Hearing Trees takes you from anxiety-laced post-punk to uplifting sing-along choruses that garner comparisons to Interpol, Matthew Good, R.E.M, and Tragically Hip.
A backdrop of reference-filled lyrics grasp the gritty, dry edge of modern life - from Canadian soldiers coming home from the Spanish civil war, to kayaking in the Arctic Circle, through a swath of eclectic shards of culture.
The band released a sophomore EP, Dear Sahara, in August 2015 and toured Western Canada in support. Dear Sahara boasts four songs tied together by a letter-writing theme, with art and handwritten liner notes by frontman Graham Moon. It earned a 5/5 review in Canadian Beats, topped the chart at their hometown CKUW, and reached #35 nationally on EarShot!
PAT YASKO BAND (Sudbury)
Sudbury's Patrick Yasko never ceases to amaze. From his shows performing with The Radissons to his solo classical guitar work, to his forming a metal band and learning some of the hardest metal songs out there to play a set at SMF8! Let's just say that he's been busy doing exactly what he loves most, and that is playing live to audiences and composing music. This performance will be brought to you by the Pat Yasko band, and we are certain that whatever is brought to the stage is going to be awesome!
Sudbury's own HK (Josh Calib Wright) will be returning with some acoustic songs after a well recieved debut performance last year. He brings with him a blend of folk and alternative with a dark twist at times, yet soothing to the ears and true to the heart.
