Sudbury Metal

Joe and Craig were introduced by a fellow friend and guitar player named Gary Desormeaux, who also co-wrote 4 of the 10 tracks on "Beneath Grey Skies". At this point the band went through 2 name changes, Having an opportunity to open for Anvil, they quickly named themselves Death Ryder. After some thought, they later became Kronawar. Three of these songs are massively reworked versions of Gary's and Craig's former band "Misfire" from the 2006-2008 era. Joe, Gary and Craig tried many drummers and eventually Joe met Dylan while shopping for Auto Parts. Dylan auditioned and was an instant match. This line up only played one show together.

Sudbury Power-Funk

Comprised of Dan Landry (guitar, vocals), Steve Smith (bass, vocals), Rob Straughan (drums), Satan's Sugar Band has been playing together since 2010. their first year as a group was spent writing songs and rehearsing select covers while doing early pre-production for studio tracks. The second year has been spent performing in and around the Sudbury area while finishing production on their full length debut album. Satan’s Sugar Band’s live show has been described as “An excursion into the absurd” where serving platters of cheese samiches and giving away free dress socks in between endorphin releasing performances is the order of the day.

Improvised Comedy Metal

85 Pound Poutine are the pioneers of improvised comedy metal, being the first band in the world to completely make up all of their materials on the spot and incorporating improv comedy into the lyrics and content of their live shows. The band was formed in 2007 in Sudbury, Ontario originally as a project to fill opening spots at local shows, eventually recording improvised materials as EP's and albums which were never officially released.
