The Prosthetic Hearts

Sudbury, Ontario
The Prosthetic Hearts were a five piece hardcore/metal band from Sudbury that incorporated elements of thrash, death metal, and deathcore into their sound. They were known for their high energy live shows and the core members of the band were also involved in other notable hardcore and metal bands from the city. Many people consider The Prosthetic Hearts to have played an important role in connecting Sudbury's metal scene with the hardcore/punk scene in the community as their music appealed to fans of multiple styles.
Though it's existence, the band went through several line up changes but for the most part consisted of James Quenville (vocals) Tyler Aubertin(drums), Tony Rovinelly(bass), Joel Genier (Guitar) and Brandon Poirier (lead guitar). In 2010 the band posted an EP to their Myspace page entitled "Mutilate" which recieved positive reviews from those who heard it at the time. The band continued to play live shows with bands like Blind Witness, Barn Burner, Fuck The Facts, and some Sudbury Metal Fests however eventually disbanded around 2011.
In 2015, the band announced that they would be reuniting for an exclusive performance at Sudbury Metal Fest 7, as headliner of the 3rd day of the festival. Their performance was as if they never missed a beat, filled with explosive energy, successfully creating an intense and chaotic atmosphere. The performance was enjoyed by all in attendance and they had special guests from local bands come up to sing some of their songs with them.
