The Convalescence

Toledo, Ohio

3Thirteen Entertainment Group/eOne Music
The Convalescence fuses Deathcore with theatrical elements of Black Metal and the shredding guitars and blast beats of modern Death Metal. The band was founded in Spring 2011 in Toledo, OH and within weeks released a 5 song EP titled "Memories". The band grew faster than anyone expected, some of the first shows were festivals around the midwest including Northwest Ohio Metalfest, Bludgeonfest, and Northern Wisconsin Metalfest also being involved in multiple dates on "The Lone Wolves Tour" with Lifeforce Records recording artist, Winterus.
September 2011 was the first full tour for the band, the tour lasted 2 weeks and included the Northern Wisconsin Metalfest, Alcoholacaust, and a stop on "The Ignitour" with Ice Nine Kills, Like Moths Too Flames, and An Early Ending. The Convalescence joined The Black Order on 5 dates of "The Winter Wipe Out Tour" then straight into Metro 37 Studios in Rochester Hills,MI with producer Kevin Sharpe to complete work on "Unmasking The Betrayer". The band came out with some big shows leading up to another 2 week tour including an appearance on the "This Is Where It Ends Tour" with All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Conducting From The Grave, and The Contortionist. Alcoholacaust 2, and headlining "Toledo Deathfest".
The Convalescence has recently signed to 3Thirteen Entertainment Group/eOne Music to release their newest full length album titled "Poison Words". The band has been touring extensively over the last couple years including The Ground Zero Tour with As Blood Runs Black, Rings Of Saturn, and Upon This Dawning, The Civil Unrest Tour with Ill Nino, Straight Line Stitch, and Motograter, The Back To The U.S. Tour with Cryptopsy, Disgorge, Erimha, and Soreption, and recently The Tyrants Of Death European Tour with Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, and Abiotic as well as performing on The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Dirtfest, and The South By Southwest Music Festival.
